Do I need my underarm sweat glands?
Stopping sweat production in your underarm sweat glands will not affect your body’s ability to cool itself. Your body contains over four million sweat glands, with only about 2 percent located in the underarms.
How many miraDry treatments will I need?
Most of our clients find that two treatments, eight weeks apart give the best results.
Are there any side effects?
The miraDry procedure has an excellent safety record. Possible side effects include minor soreness or swelling at the site of treatment, resolving within a few weeks. Some clients have short-term altered sensation in the skin of their underarms or upper arms, which gradually disappears. Another side effect of miraDry is you will lose underarm hair.
How does miraDry differ from other forms of treatment?
Other options are designed to disable sweat glands, or they involve surgery which has inherent risks. The miraDry procedure is the only approach that provides a lasting solution with a non-invasive treatment.
Who are suitable candidates for miraDry?
miraDry will work for you if you:
- are bothered by your underarm sweat
- have embarrassing underarm sweat outbreaks
- frequently must reapply antiperspirant
- have been diagnosed with auxiliary hyperhidrosis
- are frustrated by constantly ruining clothes
Whether you sweat a lot or just a little, with miraDry, you can embrace life to the fullest, without fear or embarrassment of underarm sweat or odor getting in the way.
