Are you having problems with thinning eyebrows? Would you like the volume and contours of your brows re-defined? Our microblading in Evansville is the perfect solution for women who are looking for a long-lasting solution to thin eyebrows.
What is microblading?
Microblading is a type of long-lasting makeup. Unlike cosmetic tattooing, it is less invasive and will require retreatment every few years. The procedure adds pigment to your skin to create a look of fuller eyebrows.
How long does it last?
Microblading typically lasts one to three years, depending on your skin type and skincare routine. Our specialists perform the procedure using a hand tool with ultra-fine needles. Each “eyebrow” is gently etched into the skin, giving an incredibly natural and realistic look. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrows.
This procedure is excellent if you want to enhance your brows or if you have no eyebrows, thinning brows, or over-tweezed brows. The pigments we use are chosen to match your natural or desired brow color. We take your skin tone into consideration to create results that look natural.

Microblading vs. eyebrow tattooing
You may believe that eyebrow tattooing is the same as microblading, but these two procedures are different. Unlike eyebrow tattooing, microblading features very fine lines that usually stay in place for one to three years but will need another treatment in the future. Microblading uses a different type of ink than in tattooing. It maintains its original color over time and may fade to a shade or two lighter.
The microblading method far less painful than getting a tattoo. There is little or no discomfort. Our microblading specialists use a topical anesthetic that numbs your eyebrow area. When your specialist starts filling in your eyebrows, each hair stroke is drawn with a very fine line and does not “bleed out” over time, as can occur with tattoos.
How long does healing take?
Your eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure, and the color will appear very dark. This is normal and part of the healing process. The color will fade by up to 40 percent as it heals. In the following days, your eyebrows will remain dark, and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of your new brows. The eyebrows will lighten as they heal.
No downtime is required after the microblading procedure. It takes approximately seven to fourteen days for the brows to heal, and about one month for the color to fully set in. You’ll notice the color may appear lighter two weeks after healing. Your skin will have an opaque milky quality to it, called milk skin, and is common to tattooing and microblading. The true color will reveal itself once your skin has completely healed.
Is a touch-up session necessary?
A touch-up session will be needed in four to six weeks. The time varies because everyone heals differently. Certain areas of the eyebrow may not pick up color during the first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may also need to be adjusted. Brow thickness can be improved by adding more strokes. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch-up session as the skin’s natural oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch-up session is when we refine your brows to ensure they look perfect and retain color for the whole year.
