Are you tired of spending time on hair removal? Whether it’s on your face or your body, unwanted hair can be an embarrassment. Even after shaving, waxing, or plucking, it grows back quickly. Imagine living life without needing to schedule regular appointments to keep your skin hair-free! That’s the beauty of laser hair removal in Evansville at Bella Vi.

How does laser hair removal work?

Advancements in aesthetic laser technology have made it possible to remove unwanted hair quickly and effectively, on any part of the body. In fact, laser hair removal is the safest and most efficient way to remove unwanted hair for the long term. The trick is using a safe, laser light technology that delivers highly concentrated light into the hair follicles. As the laser power hits the hair follicles, they absorb the heat, which destroys the hair and the root so it can never grow back.

FAQ

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Many clients describe laser hair removal as feeling rather like a rubber band snapping against the skin for a split second – and less painful than waxing. This brief sensation only lasts for the moment that the laser pulse hits your skin. Treatment is fast, and each laser pulse destroys an area of hair about the diameter of a quarter. There is so little discomfort, patients frequently don’t even need an anesthetic cream, though you may ask for it if you are concerned.

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?

Most people are good candidates for laser hair removal, even for heavy growths of hair. If you are tired of seeing unwanted hair on your face, back, arms, bikini zone, or another area, you can get total relief with laser hair removal treatments.

On which areas body areas can I have laser hair removal?

Because laser hair removal is super safe, it can be used on any area of the body—even on the most delicate areas of your face or body.

How many treatments will I need?

Treatments are quick and efficient because the laser heat energy is optimized. Because your hair grows in cycles, you will require several treatments at eight-week intervals. Bear in mind that laser hair removal is different for each individual. There are several different variables to consider, such as the color of your skin and hair and the thickness of your hair. These will all affect how long your treatment will take and how many you will need.

Practice policy update regarding covid-19 Learn More Virtual Consultation

Dear Bella Vi Spa & Aesthetics patients,

Your health and safety will always be our number one priority and concern. During the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, we are continuing to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and sterilization in our office in order to ensure the safety of our patients. This means that our private cleaning service and staff at both Bella Vi Spa & Franklin Family Physicians will continue to ensure that the practice uses medical grade cleaning and sanitizing solutions, as well as increasing the frequency of sterilizing all surfaces in our offices.

At Bella Vi Spa & Aesthetics, we are fortunate to be able to continue seeing patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, as long as it is permitted by current guidelines and safe for both staff and patients. We will also offer any patients the option to reschedule their appointments due to the COVID-19 outbreak without a cancellation fee. We will continue to stagger appointment times and screen patients upon their arrival.

Dr. Goodman and staff will continue to see patients for consultations, injectables and additional upcoming procedures. We will also offer virtual consultations, if needed. We will continue to follow the latest recommendations from the CDC, and we encourage all patients to update health and physical records. We will continue normal hours of operation with the following precautions:

  1. If you have sore throat, cough, fever, or shortness of breath, please call and reschedule your appointment. Contact your Primary Care Provider for additional information.
  2. If you have had any interstate or international travel in the last 2 weeks, please call and reschedule your appointment.
  3. If you have been in close contact with someone who has been or may have been exposed to COVID-19, please call and reschedule your appointment.

We ask that patients do not bring any non-essential guests with them to upcoming appointments, including the ederly, children, or people with pre-existing conditions.

We have also informed staff not to come to work if they feel sick or have been potentially exposed to COVID-19 (the virus has an incubation period of up to two weeks). We have hand sanitizer available upon check in, as well as additional sanitizing supplies available in every treatment room for both patients and staff. We ask that patients try to maintain a personal separation space of six feet from others.

Patient health has been and always will be our top priority. These steps, along with your personal cautiousness, will help Bella Vi Spa & Aesthetics play our role in keeping our community safe and healthy. If you have any questions regarding these measures, do not hesitate to call our office, send us an email, or message us on Facebook- we are always here for you.

Sincerely,

Carol Ann Goodman, MD and Bella Vi Team
