You may be thinking that eyebrow tattooing is the same as microblading, which is not 100% true. Microblading features very fine lines that usually stay on for 1 to 3 years, but need to be filled in over time. Microblading uses a different type of ink than tattoos that maintains its original color over time and also tends to get lighter.
This method is a lot less painful than getting a tattoo, in fact, there is little to no pain for many clients. Microblading artists use a topical anesthetic that numbs the clients for most of the pain. When the artist starts coloring in your eyebrows, each hair stroke is drawn with very fine lines and do not “bleed out” over time, like tattoos.
